Limnological Society was established on 25 February 2008 in Bolu (Turkey). The society aims to achieve cooperative works along with bringing all the people together who are interested in science of limnology; supporting them and agencies working on such related subjects on limnology, Determined on these issues, study areas are listed below as: - Contribution to the increasing the scientific quality of limnological studies
- Being a strong society by means of given supports in the international arena
- Supporting any scientific study which aims to protect natural structure of inland ecosystems,
- to contribute development of the public and society
- to organize educational programs and social activities.
- To aid the friendly relationships by means of bringing to young scientists who are eager to study on such ecosystems
- Collaborating with universities and other native and foreign governmental or nongovernmental agencies, coordinates courses, working education and other activities, encouraging and supporting people interested in these subjects
- To build efficient and sufficient works along with other nongovernmental agencies and associations related to limnological studies
- Organizing conferences, seminars, symposiums, panel and similar activities, and as well as participating to similar activities or supporting them
- To provide possibilities of national and/or international advanced education to those who are especially young scientists and anybody who continuous related subjects on limnology targeting to search and follow the new developments on this area.
- To increase the knowledge of the members of society and create connections and protections;
- Establishing and providing database instructing centers, publishing all kinds of journals or magazines, newspaper, brochures, books or visual presentations.
Our Society as understood from its name covers a field of science. Therefore, we hope that your contributions to develop the science of Limnology in Turkey under the attic of Limnological Society. |
