After leaving the hotel at noon join your English speaking guide in front of the famous Saint Sophia Museum, first built as an Orthodox Christian Church. It was used as a mosque for more than four centuries, today an impressive museum with its 56 m. high dome that was the highest on earth for more than 800 years.

Proceed to the most wellknown of the thousands of mosques in Istanbul, the Blue Mosque which displays a beautiful collection of the Iznik tiles from the seventeenth century. You will learn about the Ottoman Architecture and the Islamic practice.

A short walk in the Roman Hippodrome will show you the Obelisk from the Karnak Temple in Egypt and the Serpent Column from Delphi.

Continue to one of the most surprising places in this amazing city, to the Basilica Cistern which was built as an underground water reservoir to supply good quality water to the East Roman Palace. The monument has been a venue for some popular movies with its 336 columns.

Finally you will have chance to enjoy the historical Spice Market. Constructed on the orders of the sultan's mother, Hatice Turhan this oriental bazaar is a travel to the exotic tastes and scents.
